Hey Witch! Shop Update!

Hello, Hey Witch! Subscribers & welcome to the First Letter. To begin, an announcement:

It’s what it says on the tin (Pod Guy)! My shop will reopen next Wednesday, March 15th at 7pm est, filled with Pod Guys, Ungulates, Sphinxes of various sizes, and more!

Here’s a further sneak peek of a few of the weirdos that’ll be in the shop on Wednesday, all very well-behaved little guys, I promise. Also, see below for a few little studio updates & a look at what sorts of creatures are lining up for their time in the kiln right now!

Or, What’s going on at my pottery desk & beyond

After taking a break from it for the last batch, I’m back to my sgraffito ways for this new herd of beasts, and have been LOVING the soothing act of carving intricate little Sphinx-fur-and-wing patterns into the slip.

I’ve also made a new colour of slip for my sgraffito guys — a sweet warm pink! I’m so curious to see how this looks once it’s fired & glazed.

Finally, I’m back on the Bird Lady train with some more Loon Ladies & a little Puffin Gal! I’m very excited to bisque-fire & glaze her, as so much of the Puffin charm is in their snappy b&w and bright beak.
